There are two main components to maintaining your desired weight:
When the number of calories that you put into your body equals the number burned by your body, then weight will be maintained. When you burn fewer calories than you consume, weight will be gained. When you burn more calories than you consume, weight will be lost (a deficit of approximately 3500 calories is necessary to lose one pound).
